Some weddings are beautiful. Some are joyful. And some are unforgettable from the very first moment. Val and Sam’s June celebration at Lionscrest Manor checked every single box.
Tucked into the foothills of Lyons, Colorado, Lionscrest is one of our favorite venues for couples who want mountain views and space to celebrate surrounded by the people (and dogs) they love. Val and Sam chose this private estate for their traditional Jewish wedding, and from the pink dress code to the emotional ceremony, every detail reflected their story perfectly.
Val and Sam spent the morning getting ready on-site at Lionscrest Manor, surrounded by soft light, mountain views, and the quiet excitement that builds before a big moment. Sam wore a tailored suit in a soft pink shade that felt both personal and timeless, perfectly matching the wedding’s color palette. Meanwhile, Val got ready with her girls in one of the bright bridal suites, all of them in matching pink pajamas and sipping drinks while music played and laughter filled the room. Val wore her hair in a sleek high ponytail and accessorized with meaningful heirloom pieces that added depth and sentiment to her look. Her layered rings, pearl-beaded purse, and delicate jewelry didn’t just complete the outfit—they told a story. These quiet pre-ceremony hours were full of joy, nerves, and the kind of emotion that made the day feel real. It was the perfect beginning to a wedding that was thoughtful, fun, and full of love.
After getting ready on site, Val and Sam shared a first look on the overlook, surrounded by pines and a backdrop of rolling mountains. They were all smiles, and their joy was contagious. It was peaceful, personal, and full of anticipation. Their dogs even joined them later as part of the ceremony processional.
Guests arrived dressed in pink, creating a sea of color that matched the blush-toned florals lining the aisle. A string duo played as loved ones took their seats. Just as the ceremony began, the clouds opened up and a light rain started to fall.
Val and Sam didn’t miss a beat. Clear umbrellas came out, the music kept playing, and they exchanged vows with full hearts under a soft rain. It made everything feel even more romantic and memorable
After the ceremony came the celebration. A live band kicked off the hora, and the dance floor stayed full all night. The grand staircase made the perfect entrance moment for the newlyweds, and the room felt electric with joy.
From the emotional toasts to the nonstop dancing, this day was one long highlight reel. The kosher dinner and dessert spread were incredible, but what stood out most was how much the entire day reflected Val and Sam’s personalities and love.
Val and Sam, thank you for letting us be part of this day. From the mountain first look to the packed dance floor, every moment was filled with joy and meaning.
