What makes the Steel Horse Inn so special is that it’s not your typical wedding venue. Carly and Jake wanted more than just a few hours with their loved ones—they wanted an experience. And that’s exactly what they got. With its private, rustic charm, this venue let everyone slow down and soak in the moment. Guests stayed right on-site, whether in cozy guest rooms, RV sites, or even ‘glamping’ domes and an Airstream. It felt like a mini retreat, where everyone could fully enjoy each other’s company without rushing off.

Capturing Every Heartfelt Moment

From the moment the day started, you could feel that this was going to be something special. Carly and Jake’s Malamute, Luca, was right in the middle of things, adding a bit of furry love to the occasion. The ceremony was set against a backdrop of wildflowers and rustic decor, all beautifully put together by Carly’s aunts. Every detail was personal and full of meaning, right down to the turquoise gems scattered throughout, giving a nod to their Western rustic theme.

We captured so many beautiful moments on both photo and video. One of the funniest moments of the day—and there were many—was when the best man surprised everyone with a fake first look, dressed up as the bride. It was a hilarious twist that had everyone in stitches and set a playful tone for the rest of the day. Carly and Jake’s wedding was filled with thoughtful details, like the thrifted glasses for guests to use during the reception, each one unique, just like their guests. And let’s not forget the welcome gifts—a steel cup with each guest’s name, turquoise caramel popcorn, a bottle of whiskey, and a cute bag that said, “Spread Kindness Like Wildflowers.” You could tell they put a lot of love into making sure everyone felt special.

A Celebration That Kept the Fun Going All Night

The reception was one for the books. Picture this: a barbecue feast that had everyone raving, a live country band with fiddles playing all the hits, and a dance floor that stayed packed all night long. There were bubble guns filling the air with fun, and guests were laughing, dancing, and genuinely having the time of their lives. It was the kind of celebration where you could feel the joy radiating from every corner.

As photographers and videographers, we loved capturing every moment—the laughter, the happy tears, the spontaneous dances. The dessert table was a sweet highlight, offering four different cake flavors, plus a spread of cookies and pastries that made every guest smile. As the night continued, guests got creative with face glitter, gems, and temporary tattoos, adding a playful sparkle to the evening. Every part of the day was about having fun and making memories, and it was clear that Carly and Jake had created something truly special.
