Emme and Jack’s wedding day at Dove House in Lafayette felt warm, emotional, and full of moments that stuck with you long after the night ended. October showed up in the best way — crisp air, golden light, and just enough fall color to make everything feel cozy without trying too hard.

The morning started with Emme getting ready alongside her closest friends. There was a lot of laughter, a few deep breaths, and that quiet excitement that builds as everything starts to feel real. Emme wore a sweetheart neckline gown with a sheer, sparkly underlayer that caught the light beautifully as she moved It was understated but stunning in the kind of way that was exactly Emme.

Jack kept things classic in a black suit and bowtie, and when it came time for their first look, he was fully unprepared in the best way. The moment he turned around and saw Emme, he had to brace himself with his hands on his knees. It was one of those reactions you cannot fake and do not forget. Emme also shared a first look with her bridesmaids, which brought a completely different kind of energy filled with excitement, happy tears, and plenty of hype before the ceremony.

They were married beneath a large oak tree on the Dove House property, surrounded by family and friends. When Emme walked down the aisle, Jack cried openly. It was one of those moments that felt heavy in the best sense, where everyone present could feel exactly how much it meant.

In honor of her late father, Emme was walked down the aisle by her mother and brother. His presence was felt throughout the day, especially later during the reception when Emme shared a father-daughter dance that began with her uncle and transitioned into a dance with her older brother. There was not a dry eye in the room. It was deeply emotional, meaningful, and handled with so much care.

After the ceremony, guests moved into cocktail hour as the sun began to soften and the celebration settled into a relaxed rhythm. Dinner followed with long tables, candlelight, and champagne glasses clinking back and forth between heartfelt conversations and shared laughs. The atmosphere felt intimate and warm, the kind of setting that encourages people to linger.

Once the dance floor opened, it stayed full. The energy never dipped, and the night turned into one big celebration with friends and family packed in, singing along and moving together until the very end.
To close out the night, Emme and Jack brought out The Sweet Cow ice cream truck, giving everyone a sweet final treat before saying their goodbyes. It was the perfect ending to a day that balanced joy, emotion, and celebration so naturally.

Emme and Jack’s wedding was not about putting on a performance. It was about honoring the people they love, holding space for meaningful moments, and celebrating fully. It was an absolute honor to be there to document it all!
